best travel story
My husband and I went on a Mediterranean cruise for our honeymoon. In Sicily, we decided to go off on our own instead of booking an excursion through the cruise line. Unfortunately, the train we took to Taormina was extremely delayed on the way back and we ended up running through the streets of Sicily with another couple trying to make it back before the ship departed. I was barefoot because I'd been wearing flip flops— and we all know running in flip flops is a no-go. My husband made it to the ship first and had to stand on the gangway refusing to get on so they wouldn't leave me. To this day, we laugh about how we almost became "Sicilians" on our honeymoon.
